20/11/1915 Just what the doctor ordered

On the 17th, German mines sunk the hospital ship HMHS Anglia and the SS Lusitania, a collier that came to her aid. Many of the injured servicemen aboard the Anglia drowned but plenty were saved and brought ashore to recuperate in hospital. There they receive a visitor who helps to buck up their spirits. He is little Herbert Scott, the 14 year old Barking lad who served as an assistant steward onboard the Lusitania. The brave young sailor was the last to leave his sinking ship.

Master Scott is none the worse for his ordeal. The plucky young fellow is presented with a military hospital suit and is able to relax over a recuperative cigarette with the hospital staff.
