26/7/1914 Britain concentrates its fleet

The British fleet has just finished a trial mobilisation and is temporarily concentrated in Portland Harbour in Dorset. It should now be dispersing. But Winston Churchill, First Lord of the Admiralty (i.e. the Minister for the Navy), and Lord Battenberg, First Sea Lord (i.e. the commander in chief of the Navy) confer. They decide that in light of the tense international situation, the fleet shall remain concentrated.
